Cement render had been put on this late Georgian cottage at some point and was taken back to bare brickwork before anything else happened. The old window sills came out with it.
Diathonite Evolution lime-cork-clay insulating render then went on every external wall, carried into the window reveals to cut the thermal bridge there, with Contega Solido Exo tape sealing the junction to the frames. New insulating sills were cut with a drip gap to throw rain clear of the wall, the fascia and gutters were refitted to the new wall line, and the plinth was insulated and finished in grey mosaic render with ventilation grilles.
